We arrive at the birds, and I look around the outside cages for the doves. That’s right, I actually know something about Aphrodite. She is the goddess of love after all.

“There, the dove cage.” I point about ten feet from us.

We get to the cage and look at the birds. I’m used to doves being white or grey, but for some reason, these birds have a pink tint to them.

Apollo starts to laugh again, and Athena just has a look of disgust on her face.

“What, you don’t like what I did with them?”

We all whirl around to find Aphrodite standing behind us.

“Well hello there, cutie.” She calls as she winks at me. She is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Her hair is the color of pure honey, and it falls in a sleek cascade down her back. Her eyes are the lightest blue I have ever seen, almost glacier like, and her voice floats through the air like a lullaby.

Gwen hits my arm. “Lady Aphrodite, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“The pleasure is all mine, sugar.”

“Anyway.” Athena is getting annoyed.

“My apologies. Oh, dear me, what’s the matter sweetie?” She asks as she slowly approaches Gwen.

“Nothing, My Lady.”

“Are you sure? Is there anything I can do? Oh, I know.” Aphrodite perks up. “Come with me.”

They both walk about fifteen feet away. They speak so low that again, I can’t hear what they are saying. Suddenly, I hear a gasp from Gwen as I watch from a distance. Her whole-body goes stiff. Her arms suddenly fling out and light begins to radiate from her entire body. I try to watch, but the light is too intense. When I look back again Gwen is on her knees and Aphrodite is clapping.
